Blake Bozeman, 31, along with two other men and one woman were shot at the Cru Hookah Lounge in the 1300 block of H Street NE, just before midnight on Saturday, Sept. 23, police said.

All were rushed to local hospitals, where Bozeman died.

Bozeman, whose father is longtime Bears coach Todd Bozeman, made history while playing for MSU from 2011 to 2015. He scored 183 3-point shots, the third-most in school history, in the 123 games he played with the Bears.

His social media profiles show that he had been working as a realtor, and was a father to at least two children.

Cru Hookah was closed indefinitely.

Meanwhile, an alert was issued by the Metropolitan Police Department on Saturday night for a Black man who is approximately 5-foot-7 and was wearing a black hoodie. He was last seen fleeing west on H Street.
